I don’t know how many kilometres I’ve ridden in my life, countless hours of fun on two wheels for many a reason.
My first bikes didn’t have an odometer, and I didn’t take account of the ones that did when I was younger. When I realized it was worth counting how far I went I used to break the cable quite often and lost many of my trips.
My current odometer has stopped at 54,000 kilometres and it seems the Triumph is no longer counting them. So the world is passing by without a real number on my bike, but who cares.
It is not about the distances, it’s about the experiences. You can live more on a motorcycle than in a lifetime, or so Burt Munro said.
